Purpose of these pages
The OmraamWiki portal is a neutral and objective encyclopaedic representation of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov's philosophy, also in relation to other scientific, philosophical, artistic and spiritual contexts. Over time, with the contribution of its users and researchers, this web platform will become a scientifically reliable tool, based on primary sources, for navigating the vast world of Teachings of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov, based on more than 5,000 conferences, given during 1938 and 1985 (most of them published by Éditions Prosveta). In order to encourage and facilitate further research in original texts and lectures, there will always be direct references to Aïvanhov's work. Such an objective can only be achieved through the collective work of many competent and enthusiastic people, whom we invite to participate with their contributions. This project is based on the Wiki technology, which, in essence, enables each person to take part in the development of the pages that constitute this platform, but taking into account the limits reported in step 1.2 (Vandalism).
Neutrality and objectivity
By neutrality and objectivity we mean the fact that the concepts exposed will be presented free of harmful evaluations or interpretations, in the way Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov described them, and based on what has already been published by Prosveta, or on Aïvanhov's audio and video conferences. In the portal OmraamWiki we aim at avoiding any kind of polemical approach.
As to the function of the OmraamWiki portal – which mainly is to inform in an organic and structured way on the philosophy and the Teaching of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov – neither antithetical or negative opinions, nor eulogizing descriptions are considered necessary. What may be useful is rather an approach that allows an objective and detailed analysis and appraisal of Aïvanhov's thinking’s, by organizing all the investigations that are pivotal to know and structure the various elements of his work on the basis of a scientific and objective approach. It may also be important to organize a comparative study of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov's philosophy on specific themes, in order to reconstruct, as far as possible, his original vision, taking into account primary sources, documents and testimonies relating to specific subjects.
All contributions that infringe the norms of law, or that violate ethical and moral principles, offending individuals, groups or communities, will be removed immediately. On the other hand, any report about problematic and/or ambiguous aspects that would be present in the pages of the OmraamWiki portal, will be welcome
At the moment, a restriction of processing rights (modification of existing entries, or insertion of new entries) is necessary to prevent vandalism and/or data distortion: therefore, in the early stages of development of the OmraamWiki portal, given the need to have a sufficiently large and competent team – which will likely be built over time – the page processing will be temporarily limited to the "Registered Authorized Users"; this should warrant a high level of quality of the provided service. We ask for your understanding of this initial limitation, although the intention remains that, as soon as possible, the development of OmraamWiki will be fully accessible to all registered users.
If you are interested, we strongly suggest you start the process to be able to actively contribute to the development of the OmraamWiki portal. Please note that the administrative management of the portal is oraganized as follows:
- technical and bureaucratic administration: International Study Centre Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov
- management of the portal as a whole, as well as modification of existing entries and insertion of new entries: Scientific and Guarantee Committee
- modification of existing entries and insertion of new entries: Registered Users and Registered Authorized Users
- The Scientific and Guarantee Committee is made up of a minimum of seven members, among whom are researchers and experts-connoisseurs of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov's thinkings.
- Registered Users may operate through the Scientific and Guarantee Committee, and may also remain anonymous.
- Registered Authorized Users are Registered Users who have been identified or selected by the Scientific and Guarantee Committee.
At this moment, the International Study Centre Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov covers all the managing and administrative costs of the OmraamWiki portal and does not need any financial support: the costs of a Wikipedian portal tend to increase significantly in the presence of a large number of entries, and when there is a significant number of daily accesses: at present, this is not yet the case of the OmraamWiki portal. On the other hand, OmraamWiki needs the collaboration of native speakers, who want to contribute to the translation of the pages into the different available languages, as well as people who wish to activate new pages in new languages.
